Bariloche argentina
Today I flew into bariloche and I must say I am impressed. It’s a similar feeling as to flying into Denver, you are surrounded by snow capped mountains. A cab into the city reveals that it is sitting on a huge lake. Thoughts instantly went to Samuel getting me up too early for dawn patrol on the boat. The water was crystal clear and there were no boats at all on it, simply the mountains reflecting in the water.
I am currently watching a couple of backpackers walk by with their 5/6 year old girl. Both parents have huge packs on with sleeping bags and bead rolls. The little girl is holding her mothers hand. After trips like Mexico and Bora Bors I doubt I will get susan out with the pack again, but the sight did make me smile.
I am excited about how nice this next place will be. I have a 4 hour bus ride followed by a cab so I am not there yet. Tomorrow I start to kayak.
Of course it’s hard to judge a place by a simple drive from the airport to the bus station, but I might want to come back here someday. Yes there are a lot of quips about the argentinian government. But maybe this is where we could form the commune. Beautiful, 4 seasons, cheaper, and from what I see a good bus system.
love that you’re thinking about the commune. keep scouting!
